Deep Cleanse Facial

Our Deep Cleanse facial is formulated to target acne, acne-prone and oily skin. At Well & Being for Women this facial offers a deep cleanse combined with a chemical peel to potentate the benefits of each treatment. This combination can lead to improved skin texture, reduced fine lines, and potentially clearer skin. This facial treatment focuses on removing impurities and unclogging pores, by cleansing, exfoliation (we use the HydroDiamond -mechanical diamond exfoliation), steaming, extractions, and a chemical peel. Deep Cleanse facials can help remove toxins from pollutants and environmental exposure, all of which can contribute to a dry, dull skin appearance, as well as acne and clogged pores. Women suffering from severe acne or oily skin are the prime candidates for this treatment. This can consist of any women from teenagers to adults, or those wanting to reduce the size of their pores and improve the smoothness and appearance of their skin.

A chemical peel product and grade (glycolic, lactic, salicylic acid peels, Jenners, or TCA) will be selected for each protocol based on a client's history and current skin care condition. A facial assessment and discuss allows our professional staff to consider the client's history of skin care and condition(s), to customize a treatment protocol to best suit the individual needs of a client. The overall goal of a chemical peel is to remove the outermost layer and the upper part of your middle skin layer. Combined with a mechanical diamond exfoliation, deep cleanse of the skin, the Deep Cleanse facial improves skin texture, reduction in acne scars, significant improvement in hyperpigmentation and fading of deeper wrinkles.

Depending on skin type, maintenance and custom protocols, one or a combination of our serums, are selected for each Deep Cleanse facial treatment.

Possible Complications of Treatment Involving Chemical Peels

In certain skin types, there’s a risk of a temporary or permanent change in the color of your skin. Taking birth control pills, pregnancy or a family history of brownish discoloration on your face may increase your risk of developing abnormal pigmentation.

There’s a low risk of scarring in certain areas of the face and certain individuals may be more prone to scarring. If scarring does occur, it can usually be treated with good results.

If you’ve had a history of herpes outbreaks, there’s a small chance of reactivating cold sores or blistering. Medications can be prescribed to reduce the chance of a flare up.

Pease notify our staff if you a history of keloids (overgrowth of skin created at the site of a skin injury), any unusual scarring tendencies, a history of cold sores.

Skin infections are highly unlikely, rare but still a risk. Adhering to post-treatment protocol is essential.
