Meet the Women of Well & Being

For many years, Dr. Petrongelli has focused her career on the medical and mental heath of women. Her practice vision for Well & Being for Women is to offer services to women striving to interconnect the needs of the outer and inner self. Taking care of your physical appearance, such as through good skin care and a healthy body weight, can contribute to a sense of well-being and confidence, which in turn enhances the inner self. Our services, ranging from aesthetics to psychotherapy, are not meant to supplement one another, rather, to have the services complement one another for a more rounded inclusive approach to the many services women seek. 

She holds a doctorate degree in clinical psychology, master's degree in nursing science, board certification as an ANCC  Family Nurse Practitioner, bachelor's degree in social sciences, associate's degree in applied sciences, and a registered nurse.  In her continuous education, she holds certification as a clinical trauma specialist, EMDRIA certified therapist, and an animal-assisted intervention specialist. She has extensive experience with out-patient female addiction management, specifically alcohol and opioid-use disorders as a SAMSA Buprenorphine Practitioner. 

In terms of aesthetics, she is certified in dermatologic assessment, aesthetic skin care, injectables, fillers, Kybella, Sculptra, microneedling, IV nutrition therapy, hormonal replacement, and prescription weight loss. 

Whether Dr. Petrongelli is treating a client with psychotherapy or aesthetics, she believes in starting with the most holistic approach first- considering all aspects and interconnectedness - physical, emotional, and mental well-being. If the holistic approach does not yield results, then move on to the next approach. Her goals remain consistent, support and create subtle change and/or enhancements that restore balance or address specific concerns without causing a dramatic change. 

As the director of a non-profit animal charity for the past 15 years, she focusing on the humane treatment of domestic animals and training therapy animals to assist individuals' with mental health conditions. Since childhood she has been a steadfast animal and aquatic lover. She is devoted to the practice of yoga, attempts at playing her German cello, and the most prized of all, enjoys spending time with her children, parents, nieces and nephews. 

Lauren is a medical assistant and care coordinator. She provides support to other healthcare professionals during examinations, procedures, and treatments. She eqaully supports clients while creating a safe and supportive environment. Lauren helps clients optimize a natural look, focusing on treatments and approaches that enhance natural features, rather than drastically altering them. Her hobbies include party planning and keeping up with latest and newest cosmetology trend(s).  In her spare time, she enjoys bartending, spending time with her new hubby, family, and adorable puppy - Winston.
