At Well & Being for Women we are committed to providing clients with custom treatments using the neuromodulators that will best achieve natural appearing results. Neuromodulator serums, when injected with a very fine needle specifically designed for this treatment, temporarily relaxes treated facial muscles.
Neuromodulators can help soften deeply etched, ingrained lines and wrinkles (static) that tend not to disappear despite regularly moisturizing, neuromodulators rejuvenates and refreshes facial features. They work to create a more youthful and relaxed appearance. The changes are subtle, yet effective. Clients look more rested, energized, and refreshed; still like themselves, but younger-looking. Looking refreshed, not fake.
We offer the following neuromodulators: BOTOX, DYSPORT, and XEOMIN.These neuromodulators treat glabellar lines (frown lines between the eyebrows), bunny lines (nasal wrinkles), crow's feet (wrinkles that form around the outside of the eyes), chin wrinkling, and neck bands. Selecting the right neuromodulator depends on various factors, including your aesthetic goals, the areas to be treated, and your previous experiences with neurotoxin treatments. During your consultation at Well & Being for Women, our nurse practitioner will evaluate a clients' goals and recommend the most suitable option.
Neuromodulators primarily work on dynamic lines caused by muscle activity during facial expressions, while also having a positive effect on static lines by preventing them from deepening.
Static wrinkles, also known as static lines, are facial lines that are visible even when the face is at rest. The primary reason static wrinkles develop is volume loss. They are a result of the natural aging process, sun damage, and the breakdown of collagen and elastin in the skin. Unlike dynamic wrinkles, which appear with facial expressions, static wrinkles are permanent and present all the time.

Dynamic lines , also known as expression lines, are wrinkles that appear when you make facial expressions like smiling, frowning, or squinting. They are caused by repeated muscle contractions, which can lead to the formation of lines on the face. These lines are usually temporary and disappear when the muscle relaxes. Over time, they become more pronounced and can even linger when our face is at rest.

How many UNITS will I need? ... This can certainly vary, especially when we are considering specific areas, muscle resiliency, and daily usages of muscles (more expressions, more movement, etc.)
The above image indicates "average" dose ranges for neuromodulator treatments. The number of units required for each client can vary on how large your muscle is, how strong it is, the position of your muscle, and how often movement and expressions occur. The strength of the muscles in the face, particularly the forehead muscles, plays a large part in how many units are needed. For example, with stronger facial muscles, more units are needed, whereas weaker facial muscles typically require fewer units. Some areas of the face naturally have stronger muscles than others (such as the muscles of the jaw), while other muscles may be more well-developed depending on use (the muscles needed to form a smile).
